It Doesn't Have To Be This Way

Is this world really full of hate? Or does it just seem that way because of the things that are chosen to be shown on the television and social media?  The hate and violence is more prevalent because statistically it draws more attention and makes more money than showing an act of love would. Why? Why are we as the human race more attracted to hate than love?

Satan has worked hard at making the human race feel so unworthy of love that hate just makes more sense. Hate is what we have come to expect. Love is unexpected and foreign so it makes people uncomfortable. When we are uncomfortable we seek out what seems familiar. So we come back to hate. It doesn’t have to be this way.

The human race will always make it hard for us to show love…but do it anyway. There will always be things in our life that make us feel unworthy of God’s love…but accept it anyway. This world may seem full of hate but God’s love is here…we just have to look harder to find it and work harder to show it. The world isn’t going to do it for us but we are not of this world. Thank you Lord!
