There's A War Going On
Called To Freedom
Progress In Reverse
No Other Way
Mental Illness is a real issue that needs to be addressed. If you have a wound on your arm and don't address the issue that wound could possibly get infected and you'll eventually have to remove the entire arm. Mental Illness in the same way, if not treated, many times doesn't just go away but gets worse and more overwhelming which then tends to lead to more extreme problems and issues.
Pastor Brandon and Felicia felt the urgency to begin a dialogue in our community here at Joy knowing that Mental Illness, Depression, Anxiety, etc...are issues that many people have and are currently struggling with. The thing about Mental Illness many times is that the signs aren't visible and the illness not diagnosed until it's too late. For some people struggling with Mental Illness there's an easy fix, but for others it's a lot more complex.
What we're learning is that Mental Illness is not prejudice...it doesn't care who you are, what you have, or what you've done, but there is hope.
