Do you ever go through the day in neutral, never quite getting into gear? Just thinking about all the responsibilities for the day can be overwhelming. Sometimes the stress of agreeing to do something for someone because we didn’t want to hurt their feelings can feel like the straw that broke the camel’s back. Regardless of who we are or how old we may be, time management is essential. Many years ago I learned to keep a daily schedule. By writing down the things I had to do and the things I wanted to do I accomplished a lot. My day flowed and I felt fulfilled. But most of all, stress and anxiety made no inroads. If somebody requests my help I can go to my daily planner to see if I can pencil them in. This way I do not double book or get bogged down. My daily health is important and my commitments are just as major. Stress and anxiety are not good; therefore, we have to do what is necessary to stop them. Our spiritual, mental, and physical health is our responsibility. So add joy to your life by making wise decisions. With love!! |
